Dreamer...new rr sport.. --> Bought one!

So, let's dream a little... Currently I have a 2.7 HSE with 23,000 miles, reg 56 ('07 model).

It went into service last week and they've called me to see if I would consider selling it...Said no but it did get me to wonder....

Currently, Land Rover offers basicly a 50% down payment and a 50% balance in 2 years time for 0% .
So, I guess I can roughly expect 30,000'ish for my current car which would be about 50% of the new one...ie I drive out of the dealer with a new car for free...

My ideal specs for a new one would be:

3.0 HSE in Bournville (saw one in Canary Wharf some time ago, looks absolutly magnificent) with the following extra:
- Steering paddle
- DVD rear screen and hybrid TV
- Suround camera
- Sunroof
- Roof rail (got some accessories already)
- premium leather (Premium Perforated Leather Arabica seats with Arabica stitching or Premium Perforated Leather Tan seats with Tan stitching, not sure yet Confused )

Maybe I'll have a talk with CHPR next week end... Whistle Range Rover Vogue ‘17 TDV6

I'm in a very similar position and have gone through the same thoughts myself!
There seems to be demand for good spec cars at that age and I could end up in a new motor. Thumbs Up

Same here went in weekend before last for a look at the MY10, with the 0% 55% down deal was very tempting. Was pleased with the Trade in price and mine is an 06 SE. Thumbs Up

Just can't get my head round, new characteristics after getting used to the real ones and getting the pretend ones sorted. Still have problems with the EPB every few months, and the CD gives up the ghost at similar intervals. Confused

islider, would you mind telling me your mileage and how much they proposed to buy your motor for? Maybe in a PM... Range Rover Vogue ‘17 TDV6

HAHAH!!! Actually, the more I wait, the more I am into it! Took my wife yesterday to CHPR to have a "look" at the '10 range...and she's the one pushing me into it with this 50/50 deal...

Guess it will depend on how much I can get for my motor. Range Rover Vogue ‘17 TDV6

So NPinks, I did wait... Cool and... Whistle ....signed the order form yesterday Ner Ner !!!

I am getting the car sometime this week, hopefully by next week-end, basically just waiting for the insurance paper to come in (Please no Royal Mail strike this week, please please please....!) so they can tax it.

So, I went for:

2010 TDV6 HSE Stornorway grey (really like this colour) with steering paddle, Surround Camera System and rear view camera, Automatic High Beam Assit, rear screen entertainments system, hybrid TV and digital radio, Premium Perforated leather Ebony seats with Ivory stitching, smoked rear windows...

Matt has been very helpfull and our forum friend, James, was just coming back from holidays, hence in a very ggod mood and they came with an offer that was very hard to resist... Good part exchange on mine, the 55/44 financing at 0%, a little road test to try out the new engine, suspension, sounds (is it me or the sound of the 3L TDV6 is very nice, much nicer than the 2.7l??!!)...well couldn't walk from CHPR without signing... Whistle

Now, just need these insurance paper fast!!! Bow down

Once again, thank you very much Matt, James and CHPR Thumbs Up

PS: it does help to have your car looked after by a main dealer went it come to part exchange Wink Range Rover Vogue ‘17 TDV6

The 3.0 is a great engine - just what the sport and Disco needed.

This is worrying as once our recently stolen car is fully recovered it will be due for its third year service. Its a Dec 56 TDV6 HSE in pristine condition with only 15000 on the clock. I really dont want to make that sort of decision at a time when I am thinking owning a vehicle that was stolen is not for me. Had I not had a Tracker the decision would have been simpler!

Can't you use the Land Rover free 7 days insurance to pick the car up immediately?
