As you have only just purchased the vehicle, then most definitely the answer is - yes. Take it to an independent LR specialist and get them to check it over properly for you. If done properly it will cost you a few quid but this will either give you future peace of mind or be a very good investment if things need attention and are covered under the factory warranty. Gone - 2008 TDV8, Stornoway Grey, ebony, zabrano trim, TV, Tasmods, mudflaps.

Also your MOT should be due, if the Dealer you bought from didn't already test it.

Worth getting that done before the warranty expires as well, you have 30 days before the cars 3rd birthday. (Ahh sounds like a Toddler) Laughing

Thanks guys.

Can anyone suggest a good Indy service centre on the herts and Essex borders please?

There is an Indy in Woodford Green near Charlie Browns Roundabout on the A406, called Les Pauls.

Not used them myself though.

Look quite good, www.lespaulsmotors.co.uk - if I'm allowed to post the website as they're not sponsors.

Let me know how you get on with them, as they're not far from me and might consider using them in the future.

Cheers

Hi Inslider, what did you mean by you have 30 days before your cars 3rd birthday?
My car is three on the 21st Dec does that mean I need to get it checked before the 21st November?

i think what he means john is you can take your car for mot a month before it expires then they will give you a 13 month ticket.
but im sure i read somewhere that you can no longer do that. Shocked Gone,,TDV8 arctic frost, black leather, colour coded handles, rear entertainment, sunroof.
1980 Rolls Royce,shadow 2 in white.
Gone 07/57 TDV8 santorino,black leather.chrome handle's/mirror's.
Gone 02/52 FFRR vogue.

Jon, Andy,

as usual my posts are as clear as mud. Whistle

Yep I meant if you wish to MOT it before the expiry date you are allowed to get it tested up to 30 days before the expiry date of the previous MOT or 3rd Anniversary of registration if it's the first MOT.

I did this when the first one was due, to ensure anything that may fail would be covered by the Manufacturer Warranty.

I did some long overdue paperwork filing yesterday and came across the MOT. In the additional information section it says:
"To preserve the anniversary of the expiry date the earliest you can present your vehicle for test is 02/02/10"

The MOT expires on 01/03/10.

Also if done early and fails, getting an early test gives you more time to get anything sorted before the current MOT expires. Thumbs Up
