Alloy Wheels help ?

Is there anything that can be done , when the alloy wheel has been marked by a kerb ? Have tried to keep the wheels away from kerbs but did scrap one this afternoon , only a slight mark , I guess these things happen . They are 19" HSE wheels.

You will have to have the wheel repaired and repainted.....can cost anything from £75.00-£100 per wheel.

I can supply you a brand new alloy if you make me a sensible offer

PM me

Thanks for the information . Did Chipsaway do the Alloy wheel at your home ?? I guess they would have to take the tyre off to do the repair and then have to re- balance the wheel before putting it back on ??

Hi

It would depend on how bad the damage was..mine were just minor grazes, if its the bad the i guess they would have to romove the tyre....

Thanks for the info . Not yet asked the LR dealer , but when I have had something similar and it is only a minor kerb graze , on my BMW their answer was to replace the wheel !!

NIck.

no need for that!

1. Call Stratstone and possibly one other dealer and get a price, they farm it out anyway
2. Call chips away or similar types of company - you can find recommendations on other car forums - I know that lots of M5 owners used a particular guy who does it on site, need to search through BM3W before I can give you a name.

My wife kerbed one of her Z4 wheels, and she has the special 18" polished ones, I said not to worry about it and no point rushing to have it fixed straight away, chances are it could happen again tomorow, wait till its worth having it done. You could learn to live with it, I know how heart breaking it is though L319 D4 HSE

I used Wicked Wheels once to refurb a scuffed alloy on my M3. Came to my house with a van full of kit and did a great job. They have a central "booking" number and will send out the guy who has the franchise local to you.... http://www.wickedwheels.co.uk, I think.

Steve to get the link to work you need to delete the comma after uk.

Just paid for these, will be here monday.

Cant wait to see them in the flesh.
Her indoors wont be happy but you only live once and IMO they will add the individuality to my sport that I want, I dont think I will see another sport with these on for a while. Smile Its out there somewhere. Second V10 Treg on the drive at the moment.

Nice one Biggles , get plenty of photos for me and RRUK. You are right in saying it will be some time before we see many RRS's with these factory 20" options. I too thought long and hard about adding these to my spec, but thought .... slow down... you've just spent enough! Shame they were'nt avail as a no cost option. Saying that I think LR would have been better off if they had several options/choices for alloys.( I have been spoiled by Audi who have endless choice when it comes to alloys/options )

Everyone keeps blathering on about the Stormers.... I think youll be very happy with your purchase Biggles.

Cheers
