I'm not personally bothered by the content, but if someone finds a post (any post or any thread) inappropriate enough to report, then we have to act on it. They didn't ask for the entire thread to be removed, just that post. There are occasions where reports are "rejected" if there's no real reason to uphold them... but then that's the job of the mods to use discretion and try and make a fair call.
