Has anybody had a 4.2 SC remapped? If so who by and what was the increase in performance mpg etc?

Thinking of getting it done but need info first - MT

Remaps offer insignificant gains on the S/C, if your looking for more oomph (is that a word?) you will be looking at uprated supercharger pulley and probably some sort of straight through exhaust AND a remap.

Hey Trots

I think you should win the 2009 comeback award since you were so quiet for so long but now you seem to be back more often.

Not that I am trying to ingraciate myself because I don't need any awards but its quite good to see you back on here again! Rolling with laughter Gone - 2008 Stornoway Grey RRS 2.7 TDV6

United Arab Emirates 2006 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Java Black

I disagree with will_wonka, i had mine done and it made a big difference, much better throttle response and power above 3,000 rpm. I had the supercharger pulley done later and didnt think that was as impressive as the remap.

The guy I used was Chris John, hes based in the UK, just happened to be flying through Dubai, so did mine in the airport car park Razz . Here's his original email and contact.

"We CAN flash the engine control unit (ecu) on the SC engine and this will produce approcimately 40-50 bhp extra with an additional 50 lbft torque......throttle response is also improved and the cars we have evaluated in the UK have produced (when driven 'sensibly'-if that's possible) a fuel saving of 6-10%"

I was originally sceptical, but its been over a year now and im still impresed with the performance gains.

Hope this helps Thumbs Up 2006 RRS Supercharged

This sounds good. How much and would it be possible, to get this remap to Iceland, or Poland?

Many thanks for all the advice. Reckon it is worth doing - just the concern of it affecting the warranty.

Definitely will be considering the MY 10 SC but will wait for an ex demo I think - had to promise the long haired general no more brand new cars so may have to wait a little while. Still not too much of a bind driving mine until then!!

Sorry don't believe this at all. They would have to provide some proof (where are the dyno sheets?), and also that they do not lean the micture too much. With some ECU tuning 20 maybe 30 would be feasible.

Either this friday or early next week, I am going to have a remap in my car. I will have the torque and hp tested before and after the remap. I wonder myself what the outcome will be. My name: Patryk
