is it me or have i been unluck or what?!

i want some chrome mirror caps so i bought some off ebay. first pair arrived, look great except for on the top facing edge of both mirrors where there is a kind of 'smudge' for 1 cm - i'm guessing from where the moulding was made. Left the mirrors on for 2 weeks but in the end decided to get another pair as i didnt want 'tarnished' kit on the car especially visible everytime i loooked in the mirror.

second pair, different ebay seller, arrived today. and guess what. smudges are smaller but still 'there', on the facing mirror edge. Are they all like this?

Both sets have cost me just over £50 each.are the dearer ones better? how much are the official RR ones\/

That's bad luck, typical of eBay products IMO.

well i've fitted chrome mirror covers & door handle covers both off fleebay & they are spot on.
