Have been looking at the site for a while now and realised I should do the right thing and join up, great site. Plan on buying a RRS HSE, probably early next year so I know I have quite some time to wait yet but I'm just too damn excited !!!!!!!!!!!! Would like a TDV8 but it will more than likely be a TDV6.

I like to think I know a bit about cars but I have a few questions (which I'm sure will have been covered on here before, apologies) that I am struggling to find out the answers to. Your help would be appreciated.

Dynamic response - has it ever been standard on a HSE? do all DR cars also have Brembo brakes? if not, how do you tell if a car has it and I'm assuming its definitely worth having?

Premium leather - have HSE's always had premium leather or is it possible to get a HSE with standard leather?

Wood trim - is it easy to change? Am happy with the silver trim but do not like the wood trim. Would ahppily change it to piano black if easy enough to do.

PTI - I think this became standard on HSE models, is this correct and if so when?

Service intervals - have service intervals always been dictated by the car? If so what seems to be the average service interval (miles) and can anyone let me know roughly what to expect cost wise?

DR Standard on TDV8s, became standard on TDV6 HSEs not sure what year though maybe 2007. Think they all had Brembos as it was sold as a pack, IIRC.
Best way to tell is to check under the bonnet, DR has another fluid resrvoir. There is a layout on here somewhere. car handles better with DR, although there is a known charcteristic with DR that can't be fixed, knocking noise from suspension over some surfaces, not all DR equipped cars suffer.

HSEs have a Premium Leather, however there was a further upgrade option of perforated leather. Std on S/C.

Wood Trim - is reaonably easy to change. I haven't, as I prefer the silver.

PTI - I don't think this ever became standard on the HSE, but I could be wrong maybe on recent model years.

Service Intervals - It's mileage and age specific. Every 12 months or 15k miles whichever ocurrs first. Not adaptive according to driving style.

What year are you looking at, as some of the answers are year specific. Anyways someone else on here should correct any errors in the above answers.

Probably going to be looking at an 06, 07 if I'm lucky, although if values carry on the way they seem to be at the moment who knows!

The other thing I meant to ask is, I've seen mention of interior improvements that were made on later cars, 2008 I think (not MY 2010 cars), what were they?

Any interior improvments would have been minor, the steering wheel got a smooth leather option, clock in the centre binnacle. Can't think of any others.
