Hopefully I am not starting another thread with the same topic (sorry admins ). Could someone help out and give me some guidance on how to update map on the system. Frankly, I am not able to find the dvd-box . Is it possible to update the map by some other means i.e. usb port?

I thought this was "dealer only" to upgrade maps for the 2010 model. |

I asked LR to install Eastern Europe map ex factory and instead got Western Europe map. However, I will inquire with local dealer if they could update the map. Thank you all for your assistance. RRS TdV6 MY2010

If you have the Western Europe maps installed, that would be the standard install wouldn't it?

Yep - 2010 is hard-disk based, so the upgrade will be dealer only. Or at least will be until some geek or other works out how to do it for themselves.... you'd have thought that with the greater capacity of hard disks these days, you'd be able to install all of Europe, both west and east.

Well spoken shmoogle . Eastern Europe map can be purchased through NavTeq for 139 £ or something in that range and still requires dealer to upload it on to the HDD incurring additional cost. Fortunately, my local dealer does not have MY2010 in shop and they are very happy to help with anything "free of charge" as long as I let them show the car to potential new buyers . RRS TdV6 MY2010
