Hankook do a reinforced sidewall and Mud & Snow tyre in this size. Think the name is Ventus. Check the Hankook website for full details.

I haven't bought yet, but I use a tyre place near me that also does mail order, that stocks them.

Feel free to try their website for more info, www.elitedirect.co.uk. Or other mail order tyre shops. They are normally very competitive.

Mods - not sure if this is within the rules so feel free to remove website info. Thumbs Up

Of course Idea - I shold have thought of the site sponsors.

Is it sometimes the case that it is more economical to have a set of wheels and tyres complete, rather than just a set of tyres?

Yes, it's probably cheaper to buy a set of wheels/tyres together rather than separately.

Wheels & tyres combos can be cheaper, if you can get the wheels and tyres you want in the combo.

If you're not so fussed on the tyres, then they can work out a good deal.

I think the Hankook Ventus, are available for around £125 each, so £500 a set. I would think cheaper than a combo.

I got the old S/c 20's with Contis for £800 early last year, they had covered 50 miles off a a new RRS that had gone straight from the dealer to a bodyshop for a kit and 22's. Was a perfect deal for me as I got original LR wheels cheaply and shod in contis for less than the price of the four tyres.

Might be worth looking out for a set of MY2010 wheels on ebay being replaced for something non standard, you may get a good deal.

I hadn't come across that expression before - MY2010. So that's how you find the wheels / tryes combos. I suppose next year it'll be MY2011.
