...hard to believe that 4 years later, this issue is still popping up after the TSB which fixed it on earlier models.

Early adopters beware... The GTR is lighting up like a X-Mas tree with all kinds of special service messages affecting MY2010s. Not a good sign, for sure. Among the many SSMs, here is one regarding the coolant tank issue you are experiencing:
It would be nice if, for once in its storied history, Land Rover did its homework on new models BEFORE releasing them to dealers... |

They will likely replace the coolant expansion tank (which contains the floating switch) with a new one, as directed by the above service message. Hopefully the replacement sensor will not develop the same issue. "Under Investigation" means Land Rover doesn't have a clue yet as to what may be causing this issue, so... You are now unofficially a Land Rover beta tester. Best of luck and keep us posted on the outcome! |
