Shmoogle - TD6 HSE, Java Black with Alpaca/Cherry

My latest pride and joy has just arrived!!

It's as follows:

RRS TD6 HSE
Java Black
Alpaca Premium Leather
Cherry Wood trim
Privacy Glass
Personal Telephone Integration w/ Bluetooth cradle (for 6230)

The dealer was able to install the Supercharger front grille, but was out of stock of the side vents which I have also bought. He'll send these to me when he gets them in and I'll try and take newer photos then. In the meantime, there are photos in my gallery although today's weather hasn't really done the quality of the photos any favours!

Cheers

Thanks Biggles!

Interesting you should ask about the s/c grille... I asked for both the front and side grilles to be replaced with the s/c versions before delivery and the sales blokey told me on the phone that they'd fitted the front grille but were out of stock of the side grilles..... so are you saying that the front grille isn't the s/c one? When I first saw it I wasn't sure either I have to say... and typically, now can't find any pictures of standard HSEs with their own grille to compare with. I don't have enough experience of seeing different RRSs to know whether this is original grille or not (sounds stupid that, doesn't it?) Wink

I tried to ring the dealers after delivery (as the delivery driver didn't seem to be aware of the difference) but he'd gone for the day.

Cheers

Hi Shmoogle

Just looking, great car, same as mine, but I have to say that is not the S/C grill you have on the front Crying or Very sad . I would get back on to the dealer. I beleive a Black Land Rover Badge comes as standard on the S/C Grill, but yours just looks standard.... Get back on to them !!!

Great Car though !!! SVR 2017

Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad !!!!!

Yeah, I wondered about the black badge too.

Just for my own peace of mind and understanding, does anyone have pictures of a HSE with the standard grille that I can compare against a real, live, S/C grille?

Why does nothing ever go to plan? Crying or Very sad

United Kingdom 2005 Range Rover Sport TDV6 SE Bonatti Grey

The standard grill (like your car currently has fitted) is http://www.rrsport.co.uk/gallery/displayim...&pos=2
and the supercharged grill is http://www.rrsport.co.uk/gallery/displayim...&pos=0
The supercharged grill has the standard grey metallic coloured edging, but the three cross members are bright silver. Matt

mpwox11 - you don't have you a photo of the bonatti grey tdv6 hse with sc grille do you ? can't find one in the gallery ....

- I'd like to know whether it makes the grille stand out a bit more. Was at the dealer at the w/end looking at a bonatti grey hse and the standard grille is identical in colour to the paintwork (ie. so stands out less) on the grey cars - I don't mind this, but it would be good to see what the alternative sc looks like...

I have lots of pics in my gallery of various cars, and two silver cars are the proper Supercharged versions so you can compare.

Shmoogle, I did also notice the fact your grille was a standard one but didn't want to pour water on your first day of ownership!!, but if the dealer has told you it was done and you have paid them for it, you need to have words!

Have fun in the car and keep us up to date with the experience!

Just to mention that the black (or indeed green) badges are a seperate item from the grille. Supercharged grille or not you would need to order badges (less than £3 each) and the front and rear badges are different so don't fall into that little trap. I've settled for black badges on the standard grille. Range Rover Sport TdV6HSE in Bonatti Grey + 20" Stormer wheels (ex X5 and ML driver)

It's my little initiation ceremony into the world of owning an LR I guess. I've owned BMWs for the past 10 years and know those cars inside out, but when you're faced with something new you never know quite what's right & wrong. That's the benefit of these forums. If I was that bloke off the Fast Show I'd be saying "isn't rrsport.co.uk BRILLIANT??" Laughing

Anyhoo, spoke with the dealer this morning and to his credit he said right off that the service dept had told him it was done and he then failed to actually check it for himself. He apologised and said he'd get both items out to me as soon as they got the side grilles in stock. Even offered to foot the fitting bill if I decided not to do it myself (given the supplying dealer is 200 miles from me)!.

Cheers
