The leccy window motors did actually all blow up not long after I got it Embarassed and I had to have them all replaced. That little experience introduced me to the world of the breakers yard! Wink

I bought that in 1989... you must have been 7 or 8? Wink

yep.. i was 8 then..

Our wheels from my birth date to 1991 were Nissan Bluebirds!! classy vehicle.. and the last one we had, was purchased on an F Reg, so think round this time, and that was fully loaded with electrics.. good car to be fair.. 1.8GS, my old man got caught doing 120mph going up to sunderland in it.. but luckily wasn't clocked as they didn't have any toys back then, so was just given 3 points, a telling off and a fine of some sort.. probably a tenner back then!!

Good old bluebirds, still see plenty being used as cabs on a night out..

They did a Bluebird Executive, which either came in black or white with a bodykit on it and all the toys you ever wanted. Electric everything, full leather, the works, it was a really nice car. Cost new then about £15k I think, you can't buy a entry spec BM for that these days...

yeah we had C158 JOG if my memory serves me right..
and it was a maxim model, so had a spoiler.. made of bloody rubber and stuck on the boot lid.. good to see the bluebirds were quite popular, and not just my dad being odd and buying a random car.

Tell you what was following a Murano earlier, and thats a nice looking SUV..
Don't mind the 350Z's either, nice cars.

My Fiesta was so crap that someone scredrivered the lock, opened the door, must have pi**ed their sides and put a decent strereo in out of sympathy.

Alright, the last bit was a lie, but they opened the door, must have laughed, closed it too and walked off in disgust Embarassed Runner up - 2009 Best Avatar Award Sad

I remember the Hyundai Stellar was marketed to all those Ford Cortina drivers as an alternative to the Sierra Jelly Mould!

My first motor - a 1966 VW Beetle - 1303cc of air cooled flat four engine burbling away at the back end of the motor! Lasted 4 months until first MOT and was then scrapped after it was discovered engine was parting company with rest of car! Steve N | 21MY Defender (on order) | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)
