Bad news.

As for trackers, you might aswell install a jar of pickle into your car. Utter waste of money.

From experience and on 4-5 occasions they have been unable to tell me where the car is and its sitting right next to me in a field Shocked Shocked

.........usual excuses, unit gone into standby, error with unit etc etc...........reality, they are happy to take your money and "offer" you a service, or not as the case may be, but just when you need them, zilch, diddly squat, error etc etc.

If you have one fitted, I challenge you to ring Tracker and ask them where your car is.................3 years, 4-5 calls at differing times and on differing cars, never been able to tell me where the car is Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad

A$$wipes.

Good luck with yours Peter. L322 Big Daddy SUPERCHARGED 5.0 Autobiography - Here & Now!

Can't remember if LRI required a Tracker or not. But then perhaps it's different down here Tim...high risk areas.
But it certainly says on my policy if it's not fitted and used as per the instructions then it's not covered for theft. Same applies if you accidently leave the keys insecure and it gets nicked then there is an opt out for theft cover.

As per Tracker not being able to tell you where your car is. If you'd bought the right version to start with you could do this yourself on any computor. Handy for when LR say they are taking it for a test drive or not Whistle Shows speed/location and keeps a record of the history. TDV6 - gone

Self tracking is all good and well if you intend to do what your paying the tracking company to do. Yes it may alert you via geo-fencing and offer such wonders as speed / location, however, not much use if your fast asleep and Numptietrack Ltd also do not pick up the fact that your car has been pinched and is now sitting in a metal container with GSM / UHF blockers packed inside.

It seems there are plenty of unhappy ones out there regarding trackers. Rolling Eyes

Pay for a service, recieve a service. More importantly, install a stinger on your driveway for unauthorised exit / entry. Twisted Evil L322 Big Daddy SUPERCHARGED 5.0 Autobiography - Here & Now!
