Sorry to hear this Peter, make sure the next one is a less common colour - Java/Santorini is so common that people just don't notice them. White, Green, Blue and Red are less easy for thieves to move on. We had a spate of RRS stealing up here in Central Scotland a couple of years back, the local police called round to the house to warn me about the situation and took one look at my car sitting on my drive and told me that the warning wouldn't really apply to my Giverny Green car as it was such an unusual colour it would be very difficult to move or sell on every one of the RRS's that had been stolen over the previous couple of nights were Java 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Awful! Best of luck with everything.

Breaking into the house to retrieve the keys or having a 'geezer in the dealers' are the the only (realistic) methods nowadays for theives ...the only way around this is to get a dog!

I'd thouroughly recommend a German Shepherd Bitch - they absolutely hate anyone approaching the house after dark. it's just a blue oil burner

Sorry to hear that Pete, I'm very near you and had similiar happen to me and my neighbours. Luckily for me they only got away with a laptop from me. Mine is Java also.
They called back to the Neighbours a few months later, after his BMW, luckily they got the wrong keys for his wife's KA. The police found the keys hundred yards up the road. As they weren't interested once they realised.
Police said the same thing, stealing to order, hence the different visits for me and my neighbour.
Absolute scum, hope you get everything sorted. Evil or Very Mad
Not sure if you recall, but a few years back there was a spate of M3 burglaries when owners were threatened with guns in their beds for the keys. One chap was pistol whipped on his drive in Hornchurch. So this is not going away round here.
Will keep an eye out for it, but should imagine it will be on different plates and miles away now.

Depends on the insurer Jonathon - Land Rover Insurance don't require one and don't give any discount if you fit one! When I was looking nearly all the "discount" insurers wanted one as a condition of insurance and then wouldn't cover me for offroad use! LRI don't insist on one but do cover you for that odd fray into the mud at no extra charge.

BTW if you have put on your location on your avatar as linked to the Google map I would suggest that you change the location to being somewhere that isn't your house, any scrote can see where your car is if you have added your postcode to the location bit. I can see exactly where your house might be if I click on your location.............. Same for Andy V8 Whistle 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
