Discount on 2010

Hi Guys.

I am about to purchase my 5th RR Spot having had my first one a SC back in 06. I currently run a TDV8 07 my car from new, now covered 45k totally trouble free miles.

I am trying to obtain a discount on a TDV6 2010 year the best I can get so far to my spec is 1.5k. With a price for mine of 29k

Does any one know of any dealers offering bigger discounts.

Cityladd - my dealer, Lloyds LR in Carlisle, tells me they are running a "special event" on Tuesday and Wednesday this week (8&9 Sept) where they will be open to midnight each day. They have extra support from LR to offer "special" deals. Now I know we have all heard stories like this before, and the special deal turns out to be a set of floor mats, but the salesman was optimistic that it would be more substantial than that. I am also not sure why they would need to do this as he said they had already sold all of their RRS and D4 initial allocations. But no harm in asking - so why not try calling Gareth at Lloyds LR on 01228 599000 and ask if he can do anything for you.

BTW, £29k trade in and a £1.5k discount seems pretty good to me. Your existing Sport sounds identical to mine (miles and age and spec) and CH offered me just £25k trade in for that 6 months or more ago. Who has offered you this deal ? RRS TDv8 HSE Rimini

Each dealer has exactly the same margin within which to work, there are no extra handout's from LR to specific dealers.

I spoke with Nick Day yesterday. Extremely helpful how ever. he did not have the spec I want. Has to be Buck blue or Black Ivory and has to have a sun roof.

I have found a car to my spec out side UK . With 3.5k discount. But do not want mine in px.
