Long run and impacts..

Hi all, just drove over 2,000 miles during my summer break (including an astonishing 765 miles in 11h30min, including the channel crossing in the tunnel) and just wonder one thing…
After so many miles on highways, I ended up with quite a number of impacts marks on the front bumper, at best just marks in the paint, at worst some paint off... I am not too stress about it otherwise what would be the point of having such an amazing car if you are not driving it…but I am wondering if anyone else is having the same problem? Range Rover Vogue ‘17 TDV6

After 22000 miles many on motorways here in the UK the leading edge of my bonnet has collected a few chips right through to the primer (which shows up quite clearly on Stornoway!) but don't seem to have any marks on the front bumper other than the couple that I have put there Embarassed Embarassed 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Yugoslavia 2008 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Java Black

I've done 26,000 KM in the last 12 months - about 15,000 of which was hard motorway driving. I have picked up more nicks, scratches, dings and dents from arseholes who park too close and scrape the body work with doors, trolleys and bags than anything from motorway driving. I've a few very minor chips up front both nothing else. That's motorway driving belgrade - amsterdam via germany, austria, slovenia, croatia - so very mixed conditions. Stornoway may be bad Tim, but there's nowt so bad as black to show scratches Sad RRS TDV6 (gone)

Too right Kevin, I have only ever owned one black car, it was a metallic black Volvo 480ES, scrtached dead easily and broke down more frequently than I have had hot meals................................ and I sold a TVR to buy it and they were supposed to be unreliable but mine never missed a beat! I won't ever have another black car until I make my last journey! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
