FIBRE OPTIC HARNESS damaged need tips

I have a 2006 hse, there are a couple of problems I have. replaced full trim and sat nav touch screen etc

part of the fibre optic cable is damaged (some thing dripped on it and burnt through) on the HK amp under drivers seat

i was thinking i could use other parts of the fiber optic harness to "bridge" the 2 damaged parts back into service sacraficing the TMC module as i dont care about that i have replaced the center console and carpet etc BUT when trascing the optics back i can trace them all apart from "2 ends"

will just looping out the TMC work after all its just a loop cirucit is it not?

i cant trace the out (2) from TMC and the (1) in for the touch screen i presumed these 2 connected together but there mst be some other module inbetween these 2 connections (poss under center console) i can take the trim etc back out but means i will be stripped out until i find: a new harness and or repair the present one, due to the fact i cant just extend or repair the cables i want to find a solution before i go in all guns blazzzzzzziiiiinng

any help with this missing or over sight on my behalf would be helpful

to confirm i have 4 ends for this loom
the touch screen
the radio
the harmon kardon amp
the tmc unit

seems simple but bet its not "ha ha HA HA" laughing all the way to the bank!

i think the CAN net can't support 'patching' like this, willing to be proven wrong

not its an hse it has options coming out of its exhaust pipes ha ha ha on a serious note i should just buy a new harness but dont know the cost am guessing around £300 what will be fine but i best prepare for the worst I think. the car came with the sat nav etc as standard

i know the system should not be patched so to speak but I cant see it having to much trouble being recoded or configured as it has to be the same setup minus TMC for a car without the TMC

will keep all updated Wink "ha ha HA HA" laughing all the way to the bank!
