I don't think there is an occasion you need to store it. There's always the trunk (You see I know the US way of speaking) but you can also turn it upside down if you have a slightly larger bottle in the cooler, as long as you don't have the phone fitted. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

Not too sure if we're talking of the same thing but I've got my cool box cover secured onto the console cover, held in place by the 4 small tabs...

how did you do that? Is that hooked onto the back of the center arm rest? When I tried to do that the stupid phone thing is blocking it. Or do u just have it as the lid to the fridge? Also how the heck do I turn on the light in the back of the hatch? I noticed a light in the back passenger side but when I opened up the hatch it didn't go on. |

The design of the lid has changed.................. mine has 3 moulded in compartments. also I find today, using the retaining clips for the first time that the 4 tiny clips that will raise the removable cover with the main box lid are all broken.

I never even knew it was supposed to do that! I just checked with a friend who has a cold box also and he never twigged it either RRS TDV6 (gone)

Just unscrew the base from the lid and cut off the wiring, Tim. A brave forum member on rr.net tried that a while back and reported no problems with Bluetooth after the "amputation".

btw.. turn the lid upside down and you can then fit a 500ml bottle in the fridge, and the 'cold' doesnt leak out.. not just a can.. learned that today.. pic to follow (you cant do it if the phone cradle is in place..) |

If I do the phone cradle amputation and stick a classy looking stick on the lower steering column would people think my car is a 2008MY instead of 2007! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

i've removed the integrated phone base, with no issues to Bluetooth etc. Fairly simple with no cutting of cables required. Just take apart the centre console (rear only) and from memory the cable connects somewhere behind the rear cigarette lighter...[/quote] RRS First Edition S/C, Vesuvius Orange, Rear Entertainment, Alpine TUE-T200DV, Stormer Alloys.
