AudioBooks

Just finished listening to a audiobook i got free via a friend Whistle

I quite like the fact i don't have to turn pages and so on and listened to it alot whilst in my car driving along.

I want to get a few more Smile

So where is the best place to buy them, Question (I have seen them in the Itunes stores)

but since its all new to me, I was wondering how do you get them in to itunes if bought somewhere else so they play as audiobooks (thinking if bought on CD it will go into the music selction on itunes) Confused

One I am thinking of getting is 3Para as i like that sort of book and like the Andy McNab books too, so any recommendations would be great too Thumbs Up

Nick try www.audible.co.uk I buy loads of audio books from them and have 170 now! You can download them in iPod/phone format, audibles own format and wma and you have an on line library so you can store them all there instead of on your PC/Laptop. The price of books from them is the same as you would pay for the hard copy, but the convenience factor is good! Just have to watch out as quite a few of the books are abridged but at least they tell if a book you want is doctored. There is a vast library and I take the books away to sea with me. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Thanks Tim

I got a richard hammond book quite awhile ago, and that was pretty good as it was read by him, which made his story more lifelike

I haven't listened to the radio or CD due to this last audio book as i wanted to get to the end to find out what happened.

I shall have a look at the site and start downloading if i find something

(I might need a few as i'm in portugal in a few weeks with my family and the wifes mum & dad are coming too to have a holiday with the grand kids)

Good light listening available is great - I have the full collection of Alexander McColl Smith's books, and Garrison Keillor reading his own Lake Wobegon books are something special, they are dull when anybody else reads them but when he reads them he adds so much to the book. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Not available on Audible.co.uk - I take it you are getting tired of reading the same bedtime story then................
Plenty of other kids audible books on that site though, just not the one you want!
Have you tried "The Gruffalo" read by Imelda Staunton - my nephews and nieces loved it 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

There's a bookshelf full of "That's not my..." books in SJ2's room. You can only read them so many times before tedium sets in. Tim, the Gruffalo is Thumbs Up I don't mind reading that as it's very well written Very Happy

I understand SP had his own book done:

Took your advice Tim Thumbs Up

Joined audible tonight and downloaded a few books (one which i paid for)

Seven Troop - Andy McNab (unabridged)
3 Para
Apache

if anybody is thinking of joining use www.audible.co.uk/offer and you'll get the first 3 months subscription half price, (either £3.99 for 1 download a month, £7.99 for 2 per month)

Already listening to Seven Troop Smile only to find out one of his troop was Dr Thomas Shanks a ex SAS member who shot his ex-fiancée in the next town from where i live back in 1998 with a AK47 Shocked

I buy so many downloads that I now get 4 credit points a month! That's 4 free books a month. Only problem is that on my home connection (even when I make it a wired connection) the download rates can be very slow so often I start it in the middle of the night when they just whizz down the internet cable! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
