My wife has mislaid her key and the stealer wants £130 for a replacement inc programming, does anyone know of a cheaper source?

we code keys for cars all the time and the software update alone just to do the RRS is over £600 and the keys are only available from LR

The only way you will save money is on the programming if someone has the software and that will only save you £10-£20

IMO go for it form the dealer

VW charged me 180 for my golf so this is not too bad

Ford wanted £130 for a key and programming. And on that model you could do the programming yourself through the steering column. Key only was £50.
LR sounds reasonable.

The key should cost arround 85-95GBP and the dealer should program for very little if not free on top, the job only takes 10 mins max to connect the pc prog the key and put the pc away.

130 seems a fare price to me.
