RRS - Relaibility & Dependability

Hi,

I'm planning to buy a RR Supercharged and would like to find out from all the expert out here, is this model reliable and dependable for daily usage? Any problems all the time?

As I know, the past model (Range Rover model line up) did having lot of problems like, engine can't starts, door unable to unlock, transmission problems and etc... But not sure they have improved and make it a better car or not.

Thanks in advanced.....

Suggest you contact our Malaysian correspondent - Bobby, who has run an RRS S/C since 2005/6
Faults - no more than any other marque - remember that on an internet forums you read about faulty cars rather than all the faultless cars. There are many.many owners out there who have had no problems with their Sports and you just don't read about them on any forum. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

I've answered your PM. Wink

Did not notice earlier that you are in Malaysia. Whereabouts are you based? Do you drive a LR vehicle now?

By the way, if you do not know already, LR Malaysia has not brought in anymore SCs after the first earlier batch. You will not find any MY2007-up SC here (don't know of the grey market though). Do you intend to get one from the independent importers? Malaysia Boleh!

Yah..I know that also and the new model will only launch around late October with new face lift and engine. Actually I am planning to get from from grey market, as there is one on the way here with only around 5,000km plus! But can't for sure till the actual car had landed here at KK.

Smarticus, yes.
KK is across the sea from KL. Its the capital of Sabah (formerly known as North Borneo) on the island of Borneo. In fact, KK itself was known as Jesselton in the old days. Laughing

4-wheel drives are a must in Sabah and Sarawak! Smile Malaysia Boleh!

Well if it helps mine was up there with the most reliable cars I have owned for its 12 months / 30k miles and certainly far more dependable than anything from the volkswagen group I have owned to date.

Over two years of ownership I've had some issues with mine, but to be honest they were all pretty minor.

They became major issues, when the dealer got involved and couldn't be bothered to sort properly. Evil or Very Mad

Made me question LR ownership, but now everything's sorted, I struggle to keep the smile off my face! Very Happy

Its the same things happen over here in KK. The dealership's workshop is still not that capable off to diagnose what is ACTUALLY wrong with car. So, instead replacing or repairing the actual problems, they just have you to change out/replace the WHOLE system/parts When that happen, its gonna cost you a fortune! Shocked Shocked Shocked
