RRS or 911?

Although some may think these are two extremes in terms of my next purchase I'm not sure which way to go. I must say after reading forum posts I'm amazed at how unreliable the RRS seems to be and, more importantly at how blase the dealers attitudes are towards their customers, although I guess Porsche dealers are no different in their attitudes. From a practicality point of view I guess the RRS sport will win hands down, but there is just this niggling thought in the back of my mind that the cons will outway the pros. I really would appreciate the forums feed back.

Also which dealer in the Essex/M25 areas cut the mustard?

Many Thanks

Go to the forum Sponsors CHPR

purchase the new MY2010 5.0 Supercharged RRS, then you'll have Looks Cool , Speed Thumbs Up and more street cred than any 911 driver and a backseat for the ladies Thumbs Up Laughing

or buy both and leave the 911 redundant on the driveway

Mate, I am a long term LR customer and have had no issues at all on any of the cars. You must admit that the quality is not allways absolutely right. Especially the squeking plastics on a 60k + car requires a lot of love to the brand. But who cares, it is LR.
Though I must also admit that we have currently one 06 RRS TDV6 which has done as little as 10000 miles. The vehicle had no isseus in the first year. Ever since then it is constantly at the dealer with various issues, all related to the ECU, which has been exchanged twice only this year. But again, it is one off. And there cases just like this among any other car manufacturer.

Not wishing to open out the torrent of abuse that will I’m sure follow.... I’d go for both, as in fact I have........I currently have both a 911 and an RRS....... and to be very honest the comment about driving the 911 when the RRS is broken pretty much sums it up....
I tend to use the RRS by default these days, except when it’s a nice day (remember those? Big Cry ), as the 911 is a C4 Cab, so is fantastic fun on the country roads in the sun.
It’s also really interesting to see how differently other drivers react to you in the two cars..... not entirely what you’d expect, but some of it is pretty predictable Wink

What's the difference between porcupines and Porsches? Porcupines have the pricks on the outside.

Why did the blonde date policemen? She thought the 911 on their cars meant they drive Porsches.
Whistle

Range Rover Sport it is then! Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

p.s I have a family member who drives a porsche turbo, with dms remap outputting nearly 600bhp. He now wants a RRS due to his family being extended. Its as you see fit.
