Default speed in navigation

Guys,

When using navigation, what speed is the system using to calculate the remaining time to destination? It looks like it is using the speed I am going in that instant, and that is of course terribly wrong! I have searched through the manual, and it does not mention this at all.

The only thing I can find, and that is not mentioned in the manual, is that under "Restore system defaults", you can select an item names "Default speed", and when selecting that it states that the speed use is now the average speed - again, not what I want.

Any insights?

As far as I know, it does use the speed you are currently travelling at and you should find that if you end up stuck in a traffic jam where you don't move for 15 mins, your arrival time increases accordingly, no?

I think so too, and that is just plain poor! On all other navigation systems I have ever had you could se the speed travelled on city/country/motor-ways and that was the speed used for the remainder of your trip.
