Scotland 2009 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Stornoway Grey
MY2010 Diesel engines........

I will be specifying my MY2010 next week and currently have the TDV8 which as we know is carrying on.

Does anybody have an idea when its due to be replaced as the difference between the new V6 and existing V8 is not huge?

Did I see a 'garage door opener' as one of the new options, which seems to have disappeared from the 'extras' list?

Appreciate your comments...... .

There is absolutely no substitute for a genuine lack of preparation.

TDV8 HSE MY10 with pretty much everything including a vase of daffs on the back shelf, tropical fish collection in the centre console, hamsters in the spare tyre and finally sheep on the passenger seats.....for weight distribution, what else??

The door/ gate opener works using the "Homelink" system - don't know if garage door / gate side of it is available in the UK, it appears to be a popular option in the USA though.

TDv6 3.0ltr v TDv8 ............................... don't know, but the motoring press is raving about the XF's version of the TDv6 3.0ltr which is slightly differently tuned, I think I would stick with the TDv8 until any teething problems with the V6 have been found out by others Whistle 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

I wonder how a slightly differently tuned TDV8 will compare to the 3.0 TDV6 Whistle

I suppose what I was really asking was.....does anybody know when or if, the TDV8 is being replaced or -re-fined? .

Not heard anything, though I wonder if the 3.0 litre will in time replace the TDV8 in the sport so that they can keep the TDV8 as exclusive for the FFRR. But that is pure speculation on my part. TDV6 - gone
TDV8 - gone

I can't imagine the TDV8 disappearing for a while yet. In the grand scheme of things, it's not been around very long. That said, I would imagine it will disappear before the new TDV6 does.
