....yes, tried that but they either want to fill my boot with great big boom boxes or add a fibre glass in-fill above the left hand wheel well (in the boot) at an enormous price. I was just looking for replacement speakers I could do myself?

Wrong it can be done, apart from finance, you have to look at the power of the amplifer, if the stock one is able to handle the extra power of the new speakers. Anything is possible speak to car audio tech's essex i think they will be able to help further. I mean look at some other car makers, who install bang and olfusen factory fit etc, it can be done.
