Drove over a recently resurfaced (with all weather granite chippings) road today and since I have had a squeeking rear nearside wheel.................... I only get the squeeking when I go round a left hand bend. I hope it's just a small stone in the brake caliper and not a wheel bearing on the way out. I haven't removed the wheel to look but how do I clear it without dismantling the brake caliper? The brake disc was VERY hot when I touched it after I had got home and parked up. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

You could always try a jet wash if you haven't already. Otherwise it will probably be a csae of getting the wheel off and seeing what you can see.

Tim, I had a similar problem last year and thought it must be a stone or something stuck in the brakes but I couldn't get rid of it! When the car went in for some work at the dealer I mentioned it and they were able to fix it. I seem to remember it was something to do with lubrication having dried out on a ball joint or something like that.
