Thanks for your ongoing interest Texstar. Glad somebody remembers when coppers used to arrest criminals not motorists. The easy option Exclamation So am; I never had any probs with my D3 - same engine and seen no other reports about them. So as you say not a common fault.

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

You aren't as old as you are trying to make out Rudyard Whistle Whistle ....................... in February Dixon of Dock Green did a rerun as a season of radio programmes on Radio 4! Unfortunately without the original actors, so that makes you about 6 months old.............

Good luck with the repairs - out of the 7 Land Rovers I have owned in the last 16 years only my first one, a Disco1 V8iES ever leaked oil, and that was from the transmission not the engine. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

Yeah ok so I know you must be getting bored with this now - but this site helps me 'vent my spleen' one of my Nan's expressions. So this is day 12 since it was picked up - and day 7 since I heard anything. 'Phone call this morning from Dealer - still in bits and the leak is from the same place as before. Dealer has been in touch with LR about a new engine - but they aren't being very responsive at the moment Evil or Very Mad

TATA for now.

From what I can gather your vehicle is pretty new, and you have every right to push for a NEW engine, don't let them palm you off with a 'service exchange engine', it will devalue your vehicle. Good Luck. Thumbs Up RRS TDV8 Buck Blue (no, not now in my dreams). ..........D3 TDclankety clankV6 ............BMW 318i

That's great news rudyardgoing, and has restored some faith in the brand (for me, at any rate), although I think a lot is down to the dealership negotiating on your behalf. Let us know how it goes.
