They are Cooper STT's, and so far i have found them to be good, a little noisy on road but that all.
As for MUD the STT is a Mud Tyre, i would say that the complaints you had heard would be with the cooper ST, many poeple have changed from these.

Ben, thanks for the offer, i am not at work this week, got the daughter over from the UK, but will speak to a few enthusiasts at work who no doubt will be up
for it next week when i am back in . There is at least 6 landie owners i know of not sure how many would like a day out. No doubt some of us will want to do the minimal damage routes
