Why I didn't call in Southampton last week

Last week the ship was diverted to Thamesport instead of our normal call at Southampton. This was due to a container gantry crane falling down on top of the mv Kyoto Express. The incident cause the Honda Factory to close down production as that ship was carrying "just (not) in time" parts for them!
Of course a search in youtube has produced a video of the crane collapsing!

As a result of the HSE investigation and surveys of the remaining 4 cranes the same age (20 years old) have been taken out of service too! Fortunately nobody was hurt but there was a lot of damage to the ship's containers. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

The cause of the accident was given as fatique stress in the crane boom hinges............... 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Repeat of accident 18 months ago..............

I posted this last year.................................. It happened again today at 0520 this morning

Unfortunately this time somebody was badly hurt unlike the last time, and this time it was with a new crane (one of the ones that replaced the one that fell down last time........................)
Just as well the Honda factory is working short time as the NYK ship involved this time will be carryting lots of containers for all the Japanese car plants over here 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Yes and the crane that fell today was Made in China.............................. they make most of the big container cranes now, and have undercut all the world's major crane-makers in the process and have a 90%+ share of the market! Fake cranes?
