Talking to the locals you will find it was landrover that actually turned their back on Australia and pulled a lot of the outlying dealerships years ago, the japs just walked in and were handed the market, a ready made gift...  nice one LR

The price rises for 2010MY are completely in character for Land Rover - they always hike the price of facelifted cars that are launched in the year or two preceding the launch of a new model - they are re-aligning (read "hiking") their prices in advance of the launch of the No Fat RR (known at the moment as LRX) so they can charge a "chancers" high price for it......................... cynical, moi? I've see it with Freelander 1, Discos 1,2,3 and now 4, RRS and FFRR the base model of which now costs 50% MORE than the base model at launch back in 2002 but is called the Vogue (previously the highest spec car) instead of SE but with almost the same equipment level as the SE had. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

It was a great bargain but stressfull too. First I ordered a 09MY they had already built but was shipped to the Netherlands few hrs prior to my cofirmation of the purchase  . I guess faith played it on me and therefore LR promissed early delivery. Latest news is production finalised late August, 10 days for PDI and than delivery. Fingers crossed
