Tesco "finest" warranty seems popular on Disco3 and a few have put some high-value claims* in without a quibble.

(*Mostly for tarmac damage and caravan related problems, obviously) Two lives - lived one

This season, oi be mostly toasting my left leg in the 90 while the missus drives the D3

AD - I have just invested £815 in the LR Approved Warranty.

I did some research which boiled down to three alternatives:

1) LR - expensive, but the least amount of small print. Also you will get LR parts if needed.
2) Warranty Wise - too may variables eg the standard quote is with a labour rate of £35 / hr.
3) Tesco Finest - could not decide if it was a bargain vs. too much small print.

I felt that option 1 was the least risk and as my car will be serviced by a LR Dealer would be the least hassle should a claim be required.

I'm sure this would make a good topic for debate but my word, this is an expensive car to own. My Boxster now seems like a bargain. Shocked

LR Approved warranty with assistance is £975, without £815

LR Select warranty with assistance £815, without £650

Main differences between the two are:

Approved is for cars upto 60K miles, Select is 100K
Select has more restrictions on what is covered.
Select has a £3K limit per claim, Approved is unlimited upto the aggregated price of the car.

FYI,

Just went with Warranty wise, the initial quote was £845 online but they called me to ask what i "wanted" to pay, I got the best premium cover with no excess, LR labour and parts included for £570, 10 months interest free @ £57.00pm.

The warranty expires in September and the cover starts then, I can now sleep without worry...

I went through all the small print and so long as you take the premium cover they include everything and with no excess and LR parts and labour it "should" be plian sailing! Thumbs Up
