Al, just shows what a great long haul transport the RRS is - in fact I would suggest the only car better would be a FFRR for the trips you do. Mine is about to click over the 19000th mile, which has been done in 22 months of ownership and 11 months of being at home to drive it, and unusually for me not a single mile of that has been offroad. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

After the Odiham meeting we left to go catch the ferry at 22:00, we arrived home at 04:30 with Marie doing the final stint of the drive. As you say, it is effortless and just eats the miles. Must have a look at the FFRR for the next car but I'm enjoying the "Sport" just too much, once I get the MG back from its "fettling" I'll have my sports car again and put less mileage on the RRS.

4WDr - at the moment there is yourself and Maverick from Aberdeen - would you like to get together and decide where to meet up in time to arrive at the Kenmore Picnic area at the east end of Loch Tay (about 0.5miles west of the village on the A827. I haven't heard recently from PauloAmore what his intentions are.
