Really no point buying the 4.4. If you want a V8 you might as well get the extra performance & noise of the SC. There's a reason why they no longer sell the 4.4 in the UK

I drove the demonstrator back in 2005 and you could let your granny drive it, until, you put your foot down and press the accelerator into the carpet ... then Woo Hoo.... 120mph was on the clock in no time

I average 17.2 mpg from my S/C RRS. Around 19 mpg at motorway speeds, and 15mpg with more town work. I've even seen 23 mpg with very gentle driving! Of course, US gallons are 85.9% of a UK gallon, so that would make your 15 mpg and 11 mpg = 17.5 mpg and 12.8 mpg. From what I remember, the 4.4 did almost exactly the same (unless you were really hoofing it all the time), with 100 BHP less. Bob. Last edited by Bob on Mon Jun 29 2009 10:19am.
