ok, i have driven in the city... but the ranger uses in the city 16. so i really cant belive that an 1,9 liter engine use round the same like an supercharged engine..  RRS TDV8 Modelyear 2009 with some modifications.

gotcha

-4C for the outside temp and the RRS = no aircon running!
+23C for the Passat = aircon struggling to keep you cool

The TDV8 also probably doesn't even notice the extra load from the ac, but a 1.9TD in a heavy Passat then it has it's work cut out before you even switch the ac on

I agree though even an S/C would struggle to get as bad as 16l/100km 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

The best I have ever seen from my TDV8 is an indicated 36.5mpg on the trip computer. This was for a 45 mile drive at a constant 60mph along the M62 motorway.
