Unfortunately upper glove box rattles are a common problem, which can develop at any time.
One way of temporarily fixing the rattle is to "slide" the glove box lid to the left or right, to introduce a hard foul condition between the two parts of the latch mechanism. But this will only cure the rattle for a short period. As soon as you open and close the glove box the rattle will return.
A more robust fix is to wrap some electrical tape around the latch ring. This will cure the metal to metal contact. Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Aspen Leather, Cherry Wood, Privacy Glass, PTI, Tow Pack, Mudflaps, Tasmods, a new Fuelflap, a RRSport.co.uk umbrella in the boot & a RRSport.co.uk sticker on the rear glass.
