PTI was an option on the very early models.

It's quite likely to have PTI, I'd have said. I don't think it was standard on the HSE in 2007, but was pretty much the most popular addition as an option. Only way to be sure is to get the supplying dealer to confirm - even if they don't know ( ) they will be able to query the build spec based on the VIN number.

Am I right in thinking you only need pti if you are going to install a phone in the glove box. Or is it for other things. Cheers Living the dream!

PTI is a combination of things. On current models, it's purely a Bluetooth interface to the head unit to allow you to make receive/calls via the car. There is phonebook sync too. It doesn't support every phone in existence, and even those phones it does support, you don't always get the full capability. The approved LR list is here: http://bluetooth.landrover.co.uk/ On the older models, PTI also included the cradle connectivity under the armrest, which allowed you to charge your phone on the go (well, it did if you had a one of the very few phones that there was a cradle for - the 6230 was the de facto phone for this really) and also use the roof fin aerial to boost signal. That hard wiring went a couple of model years ago, but if you're buying a 2007 model they still had the pluggery. There was never an iPhone cradle though - neither will there be. 2009 Outstanding Contribution Award - Joint Runner Up 2009 'Tech-Head Of The Year' Award - Runner Up Like it here? Not if you don't have pti. You'd probably be better off getting one of the parrot solutions as they intergrate far better than the OEM anyway. Porsche Cayenne S Diesel 66 Plate |
