Last week i received a letter from Stratstones in Hull inviting me to take my RRS in over the weekend for a special meet with the buying department as they were struggling to meet the demand for used and would like to talk to anybody with a quality car they wished to sell.

Are any other dealers doing the same, is there a true supply and demand issue, is now the time to sell?

I think its a sales ploy my stratestones, i read a few of the D3 member have had similar letters

and the occassional at the value offered too

Same thing happen to my wife when the new punto grande came out, apparently they had somebody looking for a old shape '53 plate too

I used to work in the car trade and we often used this lie to get people into the showrooms.

I offered my ex car to the dealer group for sillly (cheap) money and a buisness manager told me they did not have the funds to buy it

I then offered it to them on a sale or return basis,to which they said ''Sorry against policy'' ...they do not want stock,they want to offload their current quota before they are invoiced for it !!
