I know this has been discussed before, (and I am still unclear if the RRS actually needs to be put into the special height mode to have its tracking set.)

What I would like to know if how long should it take a trained LR Tech at a delaer to set the car into this mode and then out of?

Instead of taking it direct to the tyre place (that my main dealer MLR uses) I asked the delaer to align the tracking whilst they had it for the steering wheel replacement, only to be charged $67 just for having the mode set and unset by the dealer. This was on top of the $87 the tyre place charged for tracking!

So before I write a letter I want to have the correct facts, as my perception is it should take just a few minutes.

they probably book time in 15 minute slots, so 15 minutes use of the system to set it and then another 15 minutes to un-set it? Bodsys Brake Bible

Agreed, but don't think I should be paying 15 mins if it only took 5!

It is a pi**er, but it's the same for dealers of any marque that I've ever used.... they'll either do a 5 min job for free as goodwill, or they'll charge the minimum labour unit going, be it 15 or 30 mins
