2008 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Zermatt Silver
Upgrade 2007 RRSPORT to 2010

Hello,

Do you think it will be possible to fit the 2010 headlamps and back lights, new front grill and new front bumper in the "olders" SPORT's?
It looks like its the same parts.

Thanks

It is very likely that it will work same as on FFRR pre 05 and after 05 models...
Meaning rear lights will fit one for one and front, you will need to exchange bumper, grill and lights...

I'm sure it can be done, but why would you? Rolling Eyes

Personally, I can't see the point in pretending you've got something you haven't...

If that were the case then why does anybody make any modifications to their car. I have no plans to make these changes to my own but if someone were to change their lights then would this be any different from changes yellow indicators, or colour coding headlamps etc?

If something improves the look of the car thenI don't see a problem with it. Obviously sometimes beauty is in the eye of the beholder! Range Rover Sport HSE DYnamic SDV6 Velocity blue 2020 MY

Hoppy, what I was saying that as I would never put i.e. supercharged badge on, because I do not own one upercharged RRS, I would not put a MY10 front on, when I have MY09... Wink

Nothing to do with looks/modifications or that a like mate Thumbs Up

Personally I am not a fan of these "look a likes" or "pretenders"... What is the whole point of it? Twisted Evil

If that was the case I would be able to drive down the road and see another RRS with the HST kit fitted and know it was a real HST.......yeah right, perhaps not.

People will always mess I guess........and to be fair, I am no better since I hve clear 09 side indicators on my 08 HST Rolling with laughter

There is a difference between subtle mods and trying to make your car look like something it isn't...

Where I live I see dozens of apparently SC RRSs and yet the noise gives it away that most are TDV6s... How sad is that? Rolling Eyes

Iīm just be interesting in following parts:

Front and rearlamp (other topic i heard the frontlamp canīt be changed)
SAT Nav..

In the 2010 model i read that the new model has an hard disc inside with mp3 back up Smile

but i think it will not work with the 4x4 system. The Nav-antenna should be tha same, also radio and cd. RRS TDV8 Modelyear 2009 with some modifications.

I agree on the rebadging. Where is the line though?? People talk about a "Genuine" HST? Surely a HST is any range rover sport that has all the HST kit fitted, does it matter where it was fitted?

I hasten to add I haven't fitted any of this kit, some clear repeaters and wheels are as far as I've gone. I think people sometimes buy something for exclusivity and don't like it when others copy.

Like I said though, the location of 'the line' varies from opinion to opinion. Weve all seen the awful P38 range rover sport copies, but lots of people want to upgrade their cars with subtle updates.

Take the supercharged grill for example. Looks miles better than standard and lots have changed theirs. Doesn't mean they want people to think they have a SC, they just prefer the look Cool Range Rover Sport HSE DYnamic SDV6 Velocity blue 2020 MY

I honestly like current RRS design better. (if I see the 2010 in person, I may have different opinion then). It has more "Range Rover-ish" DNA in it. 09 TDV6 HSE, Stornoway Grey/Black, Sat. DMB/Navi, 2GB memory, Rear view camera, 12 CD/MP3/DVD changer, 35% Lumar tinting, Custom exhaust tips

I can`t understand the whole "you shouldn`t put a SC badge on a TDV6/TDV8" arguement.

I may be wrong, but I feel that the majority of people are doing it simply for the aesthetics,
I can`t think that they`re trying to fool people into believing it`s something it isn`t.

I added the SC grille because it looks so much better... ditto the wheel caps, clear side repeaters,
and internal door badges. I`m certainly not trying to pretend its a supercharger ???? Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes ????

Talking of P38's...................

One example of a horrendous upgrade.......agreed, it is unlikely that you would or could make your RRS look this bad, but just goes to show not all upgrades / mods work. HST imitation is fine by me, but next time LR should aim to keep their "so called" top line a little more exclusive. L322 Big Daddy SUPERCHARGED 5.0 Autobiography - Here & Now!

Its in the DNA, men have to tinker, days gone by you would change the oil, fix the leaks, even change a gasket/ brake pads, bonding with your pride and joy.

Manufacutrers have taken it away from us, so now we are left with "modding" (is that a made up word?}

I'm more concerned with whether or not you can upgrade the interior (get rid of the casio-like dot matrix controls and get the flashy new full colour center console... Any ideas?
