car problems?

Just reading through some threads here and other boards, and noticed some people havn't been to service yet since they got the car and others have had problems the next day.

If you could post your miles or km and how many times you have been to service so far for repairs here that would be great. I am just interested to find out what most of the users here have been through.

Over 2000 miles, dropped my own oil and not been near a service centre yet.
Not due for service until 12 months / 15000 miles whichever first. Its out there somewhere. Second V10 Treg on the drive at the moment.

2500 miles without incident. Only minor problem is the ashtray cover, which hopefully will have a solution by the first service visit. Planning my first substantial road trip to N.W. New Mexico next month which will be in excess of 2,000 miles. Looking forward to reporting back afterwards. Averaging 17.6 mpg from the V8 with mostly highway miles. A/C has been very good with temps over 100f the last few days. 2011 BMW X3 35i Carbon Black

Swiftly and with style!!!

Suspension Fault.

Reached the 400 mile mark. Had my first problem. Suspension Fault!, it appears I'm having the same problem the first LR3's had. The dealer seems clueless to the issue but I've read enough on these forums to troubleshoot my problem to either the height sensors or a bad air compressor.

Any thoughts?

Are you letting it 'bong' before starting it up? Matt

RRS ownership for 1 yr, then D3 for 2 yrs. Then cut back to old bangers and working my way back up through two Peugeots in 6 months. Now got Saab 9-5 2.3t and enjoying the performance!

By 'bong", I take it you mean the chime after the system check when you first turn the key to the on position.. If so, Yes I do. It's not until I'm driving for a little while that I get the suspension fault. I don't get it right away.

I took it into the dealer and they had a tech troubleshoot. They diagnosed the problem as a bad compressor and I will have to wait until a new one comes in. Who knows how long.. they are on backorder. So I can't take it off-road or put it into off-road height until then.
