RRS Sport first (and hopefully last) fail

So I have clocked up 5000 miles on my rrs since Jan 5th and most of those are motorway miles. This wek alone I have put in around 200 miles and pretty much all of these are motorway miles.

I came back from Manchester airport on Wednesday night (50 ish miles). Didn't drive it yesterday but drove it into Chester today and then parked up at my folks house.

Upon leaving for home not 10 milnutes ago the car won't start and the centre console display is telling me its in low power mode. Anyone else suffered this problem. Given the consistent motorway miles i am led to believe the car is not self charging but I just wondered whether this is a common occurence even for those of us who do put in a lot of motorway miles?

I'm not happy and its not the best start to a bank holiday weekend!!! WINNER - 2009 Best Newcomer Award

Any chance you left the radio or something on while it was parked up?

Seeing that you posted this in the morning, I assume you got it started or got recovered?

I posted at about 6pm UK time.

It was a loose wire to the starter motor but it was right underneath the engine and my car was parked on a steep ramp. Not easy to get to seeing as I couldn't lift the car as we couldn't get the engine running. LRA to the rescue but even so its pretty disgusting for a 3 months old car to suffer such inexcusable faults. WINNER - 2009 Best Newcomer Award
