Land Rover use the Good Year MTR's on the 19" for the G4 vehicles, and some of the RRSport Euro memebers have these.. Not sure they are available down under?! |

The rubbing is only obvious on full lock on bumpy terrain and on the road when you go through a dip and get that suspension dip. Rubbing is light in both front and rear. 'Black Betty' Java Black RRS 07 TDV6 |

The MTR's are available here as I got a quote from my local tyre dealer in Berowra. I will be ordering a set shortly to go on my second set of rims so I'll confirm the price I'm quoted for you. 2008 TDV8, Stornoway Grey with Alpaca premium leather, Adaptive cruise, Adaptive Bi-xenons, sunroof, Premium Nav, Premium ICE Logic 7, telephone, active locking rear diff, console coolbox, seat memory, powerfold mirrors, tow pack, window tint, dual battery, engel fridge, Goodyear Mud-Terrain tyres. |

I paid to 400 a corner just over a year ago for the OEM Wranglers, 600 sounds pretty steep Cheers Another Pommie Bar Steward down under MY20 Defender 110 SE P400 Eiger/Ebony MY10 3.0 RRS TDv6 Fuji/Ebony/Anigre |

Thanks Zilch I thought it sounded very high. I will look arround at other brands to see what might be better value. I just checked and Khumos have a 255/50/19 for about $420. They also have 285/35/19's but not sure if they may be to big RRS TDV8 Buckingham Blue |

IIRC I was quoted around $500 for Goodyear wrangler F1's... But I then moved to the Genneral Grabber AT2's which go for around $400 or just under!

My MY08 came with Goodyear Wrangler F1's... Now have the General Grabber AT2's and yes there is more road noise. |

I finally got around to having a set of 255/55/19 Goodyear MTR fitted to my second set of rims. RRP on them is $650 a tyre but got them for $500 each from Beaurepairs in Hornsby.

I spent the Monday of the long weekend exploring some of the tracks into Wollemi from the Putty rd going in through Howes Valley. There is some really good low range stuff on the way up to Mt Kindarun and an easy drive back out to Putty Rd once you reach that junction. Planning on heading back there a couple of times over the coming months with the family on-board if you want to tag along. Will post some pics and vids soon and have just worked out how to import my GPS data into Google Earth and will try and export that to google maps and post a link as well. Some sections of the track a a little overgrown and you do need to be prepared for a few fine scratches on some legs of the trip. Cheers Jimmy 'Black Betty' Java Black RRS 07 TDV6 |
