They are relatively expensive to run. High fuel bills. High service costs. Relatively speaking. So be prepared. Also, Land Rover's reputation for build quality and reliability is not great. It's like marrying a hottie. She won't do the dishes and the ironing will be rubbish ..... but your mates will be well jealous. So buy one. I've been mad for flipping years, absolutely years, over the edge for yonks.

Get away with you JPR. The supercharged won't be able to keep up with the fastest Astras and Focuses.

If you want a fast car, buy a fast saloon or hatchback - not a supercharged that does about 12 mpg.

Buy the 2.7 Scott7 - they are great. I've been mad for flipping years, absolutely years, over the edge for yonks.

You can make any car drive swiftly.....I have a TDV6, and it's plenty fast if you drive it right....

Yep, the 2.7 isn't fast but can be hustled reasonably well for a chunk of metal that weighs nearly 3t.

It's not the best driving car in this class, but it IS arguably the best all round package. It's actually pretty good value compared to the X5, ML, Cayenne opposition.

Buy one, you won't regret it Thumbs Up

Belgium 2008 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Alaska White

I have previously owned a 2.7 HSe for 2 years.
I covered approx. 130.000 completely hassle free kms with it .
The 2.7 is no rocket ship but it's such a rewarding drive in many other ways
Buy one and you will not regret it. RRS TDV8 Alaska White,Remap, JE exhaust,DPF Removed

Tdv6 is fine , sure its not as quick as the V8 etc but its still quite rapid with your foot down , as i only get 19.6 mpg you can tell i dont take it easy ... lol

when you say high service costs could you give an example because wot one person calls high another might call cheap, when i had a bmw m3 a full service cost £700 and that was with no parts needed, so if the rrs cost less than that then i'd class the service costs as cheap.
