It sounds like a smooth 6 cylinder turbo diesel. If you mean does it sound like a cheap, common 4 cylinder run about diesel, then no it doesn't.

For anybody who doesn't know much about engines, depending upon the induction system, exhaust system and other factors such as having more CC's per cylinder, certain 6 cylinders can sound more throaty than some V8's.

I would always prefer a V8, but would be perfectly happy with a 6! Six cylinder engines should also be cheaper to service.
