United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 SE Arctic Frost
In my rear view mirror . . .

Ok, so was it anyone on here driving the silver RRS that followed me the length of the M40 yesterday evening? All the way from just outside London to the M42 split near Birmingham. I was travelling at blah, blah speeds and my shadow was happy to stay with me. He finally took the northbound M42 as I went off westbound.

It made the long boring drive from London a bit more exciting and chopped about thirty minutes off the sat navs estimated journey time. Wink Made a mess of the fuel consumption figures though. Confused Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Aspen Leather, Cherry Wood, Privacy Glass, PTI, Tow Pack, Mudflaps, Tasmods, a new Fuelflap, a RRSport.co.uk umbrella in the boot & a RRSport.co.uk sticker on the rear glass.

If your voice activation system works properly, you are one of the lucky ones. I've never managed to get mine working since I've had the car. Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Oh no it's not.

I'm in a position where I can find the root cause and corrective actions to most problems with my motor very easily. The problem with my voice activation system is more to do with my lovely accent. OK, so I may have got it wrong this time, but considering that most of the UK dealer network have absolutely no idea how to change the Voice Language, it is the normal reason for voice activation to not work: In fact, most UK dealer demo cars are still set for the wrong language as this is not part of the PDI process and is not changed by market specific software upgrades.

For the benefit of anyone else with this problem, when you change the [System Language] in the [Settings] menu, it DOES NOT change the voice activation language...

You need to select [Voice Settings] at the bottom of the [Settings] screen and then select [Voice Language] and change it accordingly as factory default is always US English.

My 3 year-old car was still set to US English Female when I took delivery, so I dare say the previous owner couldn't get it to work either Rolling Eyes
