So Many Questions

hi all

new to the forum and interested in buying a TDV6 HSE RRS, been to my local dealer and was told that i could get a 07 for about 30k.

i just have a few questions for the members here.

- wot is dynamic response and is it fitted on a TDV6 HSE RRS

- have read that cars with dynamic response can have a knocking problem, is this a big issue

- are there any common problems that i should be aware of before i buy one

- dealer told me that an extended warranty for a RRS is about £700, is that correct

- silly question, but has anyone here been in an accident in their RRS, how safe were you in the car

- does anyone know wot the ncap score is for this car

- can anyone elaborate on the "shunt" problems that some people are having with their cars, how can i test for this and can it be resloved by the dealer

thanks for all the help

i just have a few questions for the members here.

- wot is dynamic response and is it fitted on a TDV6 HSE RRS It is basically an electronic aid to the suspension to make the car handle/ride better

- have read that cars with dynamic response can have a knocking problem, is this a big issueSome cars have developed a knocking fault, some haven't

- are there any common problems that i should be aware of before i buy one Not really. Mine is over 3 yrs old and 33k miles without any issues

- dealer told me that an extended warranty for a RRS is about £700, is that correctNot sure, but check out our forum sponsors which consist of reputable LR dealers who will give you a straight, honest answer

- silly question, but has anyone here been in an accident in their RRS, how safe were you in the carVA had an accident in his and was fine

- does anyone know wot the ncap score is for this carNope, but see above point

- can anyone elaborate on the "shunt" problems that some people are having with their cars, how can i test for this and can it be resloved by the dealerHaven't experienced it so cannot comment. TDV6's do suffer from turbo lag though

thanks for all the help

NCAP have not tested an RRS - they've done the D3 (4*), so while the chassis and lots of the running gear is the same, the body shell is of course different but how much that might change the NCAP score I don't know. I presume it would be very similar. These cars are pretty safe for those on the inside, plenty of airbags. Different story for pedestrians of course, but I find it's best if you don't plan on driving into anyone Whistle
