Do i have Bluetooth?

Hi all

I have the touch screen sat nav and 6 disk cd changer which has a phone icon - everytime i click it it says no phone connected.

when i try to pair my blackberry, the phone doesnt find the car.

is there anyway i can tell if my car actually has bluetooth ?

No you don't have bluetooth. It was an option on the 2005 SE. Look under the centre cubby box lid, is there any think that looks like a connecter? If yes then I'm wrong, is no then I'm right. Also I presume you dont have the phone controls on your steering wheel. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

What VA means is open the large centre console/arm rest and look underneath the lid.

You don't have bluetooth: even if you do find a connection in the cubby box it means nothing. It was fitted in all cars then but there was no PTI fitted in the SE models. I know, I had an SE with the afore mentioned apparent connection. I had an after market Land Rover bluetooth fitted (piece of Sh*t) RRS TDV6 (gone)
RRS TDV8 HSE(gone, burned out)

The PTi connection in the centre console was not fitted on all models. Who ever told you this has been miss informed.

The best way of telling if your car has blue tooth is the telephone activation paddles on the RH side of the steering wheel centre boss. Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Aspen Leather, Cherry Wood, Privacy Glass, PTI, Tow Pack, Mudflaps, Tasmods, a new Fuelflap, a RRSport.co.uk umbrella in the boot & a RRSport.co.uk sticker on the rear glass.

The LR aftermarket kit isn't worth it.... if you want an aftermarket solution go with a Parrot.

Welcome trucker...

If you have the pluggery under the armrest, you should be able to connect your phone to the car via Bluetooth - get your phone to look for the car and the code is 2020 if I remember right.

The pluggery was used to connect an optional cradle that allowed your phone (if you had a 6230 at least) to charge itself off the car and also use the fin aerial to boost signal. As of last year, that pluggery no longer exists so for newer cars the only option is Bluetooth.
