Side Vents

Can anyone tell me if the mesh and blades are removable from the surround i want to get colour coded or do they have to be masked up?

Also does anyone know how much the range rover logo on the rear tailgate will cost if the old lettering cant be re used after removal?

many thanks in advance>

They get masked up I believe, never actually seen the work being undertaken.

The "RANGE ROVER" lettering on the back is available as an LR part (each word is a separate part!) for about £80 the pair.

The vents do come apart.

Just be careful, as you're dealing with relatively flimsy plastic tags. But some gentle persuasion with a screwdriver & you’re sorted Thumbs Up

Ok so, I went out to the workshop & got one of my spare vents & took a few pics.

To remove the blade/mesh insert from the surround, you need to prise the two tags outwards in the direction of the yellow arrows, while at the same time gently releasing the two tags circled in red as you lift the insert upwards in a hinging motion.

It will all be obvious when you go to do the job, which will result in the two parts being separated.
