1965 Mini brought when I was 14 so I could tinker with it. It was repainted a bright yellow with a black roof, wide wheels and full roll cage, bucket seats the lot, the engine was bored to make it into a 1340cc Oh those were the days!!! |

Ha!! I test drove a Talbot Sunbeam and the gearbox broke when I tried to go into reverse.... unbelievably high build quality back then. ** Insert joke about modern day LRs here **

shmoogle - it didn't last long - passed onto my sister and along came my Sunbeam Lotus now that was awsome - basic compared to todays cars but all the same truly awsome - you had to respect it & I still bow to its greatness

Nice...personally, I fawned over the Triumph Stag. As a car mad 8 year old, I thought they were the dogs danglies!

Mrs S likes an Austin Healey too. At least I think she's talking about the car and not a bloke of the same name. I also liked the old Rover 3500s... they went like poo off a shovel too.

We got a 318 ci when i passed my test and i told all my mates that my dad got it for me RRS TDV6 Gone but still around
