Air con on auto

Could somebody please help me so I'm not going daft.
My car is in today for some warranty work including the air con.
Just so I'm sure,if you turn the air con control fully up or fully down but still on temperature control i.e. not the end coloured stops do you get full flow out of the face vents?
I'm sure it did when I first got it but now it doesn't,I just get max flow up onto the windscreen. MY2011 HSE Santorini/Ivory/Piano Black/Privacy Glass/TV .Sadly gone.

Depends what buttons you have pressed. Silly question - sure the vents are open? 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

VA,
Even I'm not that thick Wink
With it on Auto if I move the temperature control from say 20c to either extreme but still on the numbered scale e.g. say 16 or 24 then the fan speed increases but no flow comes out of the face vents it all goes up to the screen/footwell.
If however I turn the temperature knob to the extremes either side i.e. very cold or very hot then the face vent then blows either very cold or very hot.
Also with it at either extreme but still on the numbered section and I press the manual face vent switch it comes out at a high flow either hot or cold so definately no actual problem with the manual flaps on the face vent outlets.
Problem is if I get in and leave it on Auto and it is hot it takes forever to cool down and if it is cold it takes forever to get warm.
I'm sure it did it up until a few weeks ago but not 100% sure Embarassed MY2011 HSE Santorini/Ivory/Piano Black/Privacy Glass/TV .Sadly gone.

Sorry to inerject, but one of the many reasons I love the FFRR, as the face vents are independently controlled to the main climate controls and have their own temperature selection, as in the BMW range.

Malaysia 2006 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Chawton White

You could try this simple test to check the motor and flap operation...

Climate Control Distribution motor self-test

The motor and flap operation can be checked using the on-board distribution motor self-test function.

The self-test can be initiated by pressing and holding the ECON and RECIRC buttons while turning the ignition switch to the ON position. The control module will then compare the current motor position with the values stored in the module and will indicate an error by flashing the ECON LED (light emitting diode).

If there are no errors, the LED will go out and the system will function normally.

To confirm that there are no errors, turn the ignition switch to the OFF position, then back to the ON position.

Observe the operation of the programmed defrost LED.

If there are errors present, the programmed defrost LED will flash and the system will attempt to calibrate itself. Malaysia Boleh!

Australia 2008 Range Rover Sport TDV6 SE Rimini Red

i have had a similar problem...
mine auto mode works for a while and then decides i no longer have a need for
temperature controlled air flow and packs it in....i then need to press the eco button,
the and the vents are reopened...and back to auto...

took in to the dealer...and wow they reckon nothing is wrong...!!!
well they can start replacing parts then...
and i have tried wit auto off., select face vents , and setting fan speed....after about 20mins...
it decides i dont need any air and closes off the vents...

sometimes too much electronics is self defeating. Toyota Corolla...Sad((((

Thanks Kaine, but the dealers are clueless as to what to do...or unwilling.
THey say the diagnostics show no errors....so my first instinct is maybe the sensor is faulty..

any suggestions you can offer to pass onto the dealer?? Toyota Corolla...Sad((((
